At 15, Patsy Cline auditioned for the Grand Old Opry with no luck. Her auditioner was Opry veteran Moon Mullican. Moon Mullican made his name as a pianist and singer in different Western Swing bands including the Texas Wanderers and The Blue Ridge Playboys. He also briefly played with the more traditional country group The Sunshine Boys. The Sunshine Boys never released an album in their brief moment as a recording group but a compilation album The Early Sunshine Boys with Moon Mullican was released on Cow Girl Boy Records.
