From Coldplay to Keane because Chris Martin once asked Tim Rice-Oxley to join his band while they were at together school. In time, the two mutually agreed against the union. Coldplay went its own very successful way and Rice-Oxley remained as the lead songwriter and pianist for his own band, Keane. Win-Win. Keane released its debut album Hopes and Fears in 2004.
